Matthew W. Birk
Mr. Birk practices in the areas of labor and employment law. He has also handled a variety of other cases and trials including mass tort, product liability, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He acquired his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami in 1994 where he graduated with honors. He graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 1998, with high honors, and was Title Standards Editor of the University of Florida’s Law Review and a member of the International Law Journal. Following law school, Mr. Birk served as a law clerk to The Honorable Roger Vinson, Chief Judge for the Northern District of Florida, before beginning his practice in the litigation department of a 350 attorney law firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has significant experience with arbitrations, trials and appeals in a variety of forums and is admitted to practice in the states of Florida, Pennsylvania and New Jersey and federal courts throughout those states. Mr. Birk handled the defense of dozens of multimillion dollar claims before focusing on representing plaintiffs in labor and employment law cases.
